I LOVE MY JOB!

After a successful career in the automotive industry, I returned to my first love - working with animals. Michigan Equine Therapy was founded in 2004, and has grown steadily ever since thanks to the wonderful support of my valued clients, many of whom have also become good friends.

I take my work very seriously and become personally involved with my clients' horses and treat them as though they are my own. It is very fulfilling when the horses greet me upon arrival and express their pleasure during the massage. (See Eddie's story on the client page). It is also greatly rewarding when clients tell me that my work has helped their horse make great improvements in its quality of life or even its performance.

I have been fortunate to collaborate with other wonderful equine professionals to achieve great success on horses that were given up on by the traditional veterinary establishment. I am very grateful for the lessons I have learned from these incredible mentors.

Professionalism you can count on .... I received my training and certification as an equine sports massge therapist at Equissage Inc. (Round Hill, VA) in 2004. I joined the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists as a lifetime member in 2004. I am strongly committed to lifetime continuing education and have taken the following courses since becoming certified: - Myofascial Release Therapy, Equinology, (VA) - Equine and Canine Chiropractic, Dr. Daniel Kamen, DC, (MI) - Applied Muscle Testing, Dr. Marc Terebelo DC, (MI) My future plans for continuing education include: - Reiki Training - Equine and Canine Acupressure Training - Cranio Sacral Training - Essential Oil / Aromatherapy Training
