I LOVE MY JOB!

Its been eight amazing years and I still LOVE my job!!!

So many of you have asked me to work on you.  After all, riding and working with horses is hard work.   I am delighted to let you know that effective immediately I am accepting new massage clients - and you don't even have to be an equestrian!  I graduated from Irene's and passed the MBLx Exam for massage practitioners!  At this point I have learned a number of hands-on and energy based treatment modalities that are very helpful for both human and animals, and I plan to continue my education.  I have enrolled with the Upledger Institute and I will be working towards certification as a Cranio-Sacral Therapist.  This is a very subtle but effective modality that influences the pressure within the skull and spinal column.  Extremely helpful for headache sufferers. CST is also a very dynamic and profoundly effective modality for horses, and I will be taking the Equine seminar this fall, after taking CS2 this Spring.  I hope to complete my Upledger Certification as a Cranio Sacral Therapy Practitioner by 2013.

I will continue to work the show / clinic circuit in Michigan (and perhaps Great Lakes states if time permits) and I will have at least one therapy office in SE Michigan / Metro Detroit.  I also have a new associate coming on board to work with me at Michigan Equine Therapy. See, we are expanding....

After a successful career in the automotive industry, I returned to my first love - working with animals.  Michigan Equine Therapy was founded in 2004, and has grown steadily ever since thanks to the wonderful support of my valued clients, many of whom have also become good friends.

I take my work very seriously and become personally involved with my clients' horses and treat them as though they are my own.  It is very fulfilling when the horses greet me upon arrival and express their pleasure during the massage. (See Eddie's story on the client page). It is also greatly rewarding when clients tell me that my work has helped their horse make great improvements in its quality of life or even its performance.

I have been fortunate to collaborate with other wonderful equine professionals to achieve great success on horses that were given up on by the traditional veterinary establishment. I am very grateful for the lessons I have learned from these incredible mentors.
